# The Birth of Monad Punks

Once upon a time, there was a community known as the **Punks**. They were pioneers — a tight-knit crew exploring the wild frontier of blockchain. For a while, things looked bright. But over time, the chain they lived on turned dark. Greed, corruption, and broken promises spread through the ecosystem. The trust they had in their home chain was destroyed.

Many gave up. But not all.\
A group of rebels refused to let their spirit die. They believed in true decentralization, real transparency, and a future where community came first.

That’s when they discovered **Monad** — a new chain, built for speed, fairness, and long-term growth. It was everything they had hoped for but never truly had before.

The rebels made a choice: leave the broken past behind and start fresh. They carried with them the lessons of betrayal but also the fire of resilience. On Monad, they were reborn as the **Monad Punks** — the first Punk NFTs on the chain, a collection of 10,000 unique digital warriors.

Today, Monad Punks are more than just NFTs. They’re a movement.

* A symbol of survival after the fall of a scam chain.
* A community united around building real **utility.**
* The first OG Punks of Monad, immortalized on the blockchain forever.

The shadows of the past still whisper, but Monad Punks look only forward. Together, they’re building a citadel of transparency, strength, and innovation — one that will stand the test of time.

👉 **Welcome to Monad Punks.** The story is just beginning.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://monad-punks.gitbook.io/monad-punks-whitepaper/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
